About IIT Indore

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore, situated in Madhya Pradesh and founded in 2009 by the Government of India, is an institution of national importance. The verdant campus of IIT Indore, spread across 512 acres of land amid rural habitats, is located near a village, Simrol, about 25 kilometres away from the Indore city on Khandwa road. The institute has established the state-of-the-art infrastructure, including the computer centre, well-equipped labs, advanced instrumentation facilities, etc. IIT Indore is ranked among the top 50 universities in Asia. Recently, IIT Indore debuted with a rank in the range of 351-400 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2019, 2nd among Indian institutes. For collaborative research, interested researchers are encouraged to contact the concerned faculty. The institute is actively engaged in organizing various research activities.
About CRDT

Centre for Rural Development and Technology (CRDT), hosted at IIT Indore, is a nodal hub for researchers, volunteers, practitioners, and educators to collaborate and facilitate rural empowerment and progress solutions. The team strives to empower the rural population to improve their living conditions by developing & applying appropriate and people-friendly technologies by adopting participatory, sustainable, democratic, transparent, and gender-sensitive processes. CRDT has started working on science awareness and reachability by organizing science lecture series along with education; it is also working on renewable energy, water management, waste management, and agriculture. Through its continuous intervention through the Centre's activities, CRDT envisages sustainable rural development anchored on its technical knowledge and improving the rural areas' social and economic conditions.
About Conclave

Rural Innovators Conclave will provide a platform to a wide array of innovators and entrepreneurs to showcase their products, pitch and talk about their innovations and innovative ideas and design for improving rural life. The event will be attended by representatives from industries, Academics, government organizations, S&T institutions and most importantly by venture capitalists, angel investors, incubators, and other players from the entrepreneurial ecosystem. The participants can display their products in conclave and help this initiative is to identify the critical day – to – day problems faced by the people of rural India and elicit the potential solutions to address them. The conclave puts special emphasis on the Rural innovators & Start-ups The shortlisted ideas / start-ups will be offered space for their display-cum-demonstration as per norms.

The event will have a dynamic jury to screen the best innovators and fellowships winners under Innovators and Start-up categories to facilitate mentorship through workshop on Design, Packaging and Marketing, etc. will be provided as per the norms of the Institute.

Eligibility Criteria
1. The solution offered should be
applicable to rural or semi-urban.
2. The solution should be innovative.
3. Add value to customers and should be
commercially scalable.
4. Showcasing of technologies, products
and designs at the event is
compulsory.
5. Start-up Stage: Innovator/team having
at least few customers on board and
looking for scaling up and
commercialization.

Registration Fee: The conference registration includes a registration kit, admission to all conference sessions, lectures and inaugural functions, lunch and High tea only. All amounts indicated above are including GST.

Please pay the registration fee through Paytm. The procedure is as follows:
1. Please visit the home page of IIT Indore website.
2. Go to PayTm link option in the facilities menu.
3. In “select your Institute’s area“: go to Registration for events – select “workshop/conference”.
4. Select fee details: Participants may fill in the required details and proceed further. Please fill “Rural Innovators Conclave″ for the title of the event.

Accommodation
Rural Innovators Conclave 2024 is going to take place at IIT Indore from January 5th & 6th, 2024. The conclave is being held in physical mode and active participation from various sectors across the country is anticipated. To cater to the need for accommodation of the participants, the following facilities are arranged:
(1) Institute accommodation:
A limited number of institute accommodations will be available for the participants. The preference will be given to the participants traveling alone and having paper(s) accepted in Rural Innovators Conclave 2024.(2) Outside accommodation:
